Quickstart
There are two main ways to use Rummble either from a computer or directly from your mobile phone whilst out and about.
If you know the users name and want to contact them by text:
Using your mobile, prepare to send a regular text message At the start of the text message simply put the username of the person you want to message Leave one space then write the txt message as normal Send it to the mobile number that appears on your Mobile Settings page. This number is country specific. The Rummble text goes through our system and then out to the destination user, without revealing your mobile number i.e. you remain anonymous.
It will arrive on their phone as a regular text, with your username at the beginning to show who it's from - They can then reply using your username.
Or, if you are new in town and want to know who is around:
Text 'Go' followed by your location ' Country and Town' (or postcode if you are in the UK) to the number that appears on your Mobile Settings page.
Rummble will send back to you a list of users based upon your preferences who are online in your area. You can change your preferences in the Settings page under 'choose location matching' from the menu on the website.
Using your mobile you can then choose a user that you would like to contact and send them a text as described at the beginning of this quickstart.
If there are no other users fitting your preferences in the location that you set, Rummble searches first the location you supplied, then in the case of the UK the next ten nearest postcode areas in order of their geographical closeness. For worldwide the Rummble system then searches the next nearest towns.
