What is it?
Rummble mobile (or the "Java application") is a downloadable application written in J2ME that should work on nearly all MIDP 2.0 compliant mobile phones. You can use Rummble from your mobile and instant message other users, including your friends on other networks.
Will it work on my phone
Rummble mobile should work on any Java MIDP2.0 compliant mobile phone! Unfortunately unlike the big companies, we can test Rummble mobile on 1000's of phones, so you wonderful people, our users are helping us test it and fix it to work on incompatible phones. The best thing to do is to try it!

Is it free?
It is free. We do not charge you to download it or use it. However, your mobile network operator may charge you a small cost to connect to the internet from your mobile. More about the cost
What do I need for it to work?
- You need a Java MIDP 2.0 phone (Most phones made after 2004 are compatible!)
- Your phone tarrif or phone connection with your mobile network operator must allow data/WAP connection (you can call your mobile network operator and ask them for this if you do not have it).
What can I use it for?
Rummble mobile has most of the basic functionality of the Rummble website and we are adding to it all the time. You can:
- log in and set your location
- search who is nearby
- get profiles of users
- instant message users nearby
- instant message any of your friends on Rummble and see their location
- block a user
- invite friends to join by SMS
- invite friends to join by email
- view your friends list (including from other instant messaging networks)
