How to set your location
You can set your location when you’re out on the town having fun. You can find existing friends and/or flirt with other users nearby.
This can be done either by using the Rummble™ scheduling table at (URL____________) or directly from your mobile if you are not at a computer.
Setting your location Online at the website
In the table at ‘Set When to Receive’ at (URL_____________) the Rummble scheduling allows you to automatically set your location at certain times of the week so other Rummble users can see you are out and about and can contact you. This saves you texting from your phone each time you are out; and its free! Leave the time blank not to be logged in anywhere so not to be sent Rummble™ texts.
Enter the places where you will be in the 8hr Periods. Choose a place from the drop down lists. Click "SET" for the times you will be there in the table. Finally, press "save changes" to commit these locations.
To remove a location simply click "CLR" and the location will be removed and left blank.
Also don’t forget to set your preferences on the website at 'set your location' (URL__________) If there are times you don’t want to receive Rummble™ messages (maybe when your at work?) you can control when to receive with the Rummble™ scheduler.
Setting your location from your mobile phone
Simply send a text command 'Go' followed by your location 'Town Country' to the mobile phone number that appears on your Rummble™ 'Home' page.
For Example; Setting your location for Paris text 'Go Paris France' and send to +447624805702 (the number to use in france).
We will set you in that location for the next 8 hours and send a list of users, who fit your preferences, who are also logged in within that area. You can get new list by sending your location again - and don't forget to set your location again if you change areas!
Specifically for the UK. You can log yourself in a location by entering the first half of the postcode and text to +447800008124. You will be logged in that location for 8 hours. It is the same as setting your location by town from your mobile. The text costs your standard network rate. Ideally, we want you to enter the first HALF of your postcode. If you send more, or less than that, the Rummble™ will do it's best to match a postcode that is similar, but it is best to send accurately the first half of the postcode are you want to be logged into. If you send a complete or full postcode, we will still take the first half of the postcode and log you in that area. For example, if you send “PE17 3QE” we would register you as being located in “PE17”. Rummble™ recognises all UK postcodes.
Currently it is not possible to set a precise period of time for which you will be in a location. In the future we may provide the ability for you to set how long you will be in a certain place. Though if you change your location just send another Set Location 'Go' text command.
