How do I reply to a Rummble™ sent to me?
On the text message, it will say username of the person who sent it. To reply, simply send a text message to the number shown on your Rummble Mobile Settings
page with the persons username followed by your message. For example, to send a text saying “How r u?” to a user called “Emily” you would send a text containing: “Emily how r u?” and send it to the number shown on your home page.
What if I don’t want to receive texts at particular times during the day?
Log in to www.rummble.com as usual, and click on 'Set When To Receive', there on the Rummble scheduler, you can control when you will receive Rummble™ text messages. The text messages will wait on our servers and then be sent to your phone as soon as your next receive window arrives. This does not affect the receipt of regular non-Rummble™ messages to your mobile handset.
How do I stop someone specific texting me?
Send a message in the usual way (sending it to the number on your Rummble Mobile Settings page) and include the user's username followed by the word “block” ON ITS OWN. So, if you want to block a user called “Emily” you would send: “Emily block” . You can unblock a user in the similar way, by sending a message: “Emily unblock”.
How do I allow someone to send me Rummble's again if I have blocked them?
Send a message to the user in the usual way (sending it to the number on your Rummble Mobile Settings page) and include the user's username followed by the word “unblock” ON ITS OWN. So, if you had blocked a user called “Emily” and wanted to unblock that user, you would send: “Emily unblock”. You can block or unblock a user as many times as you like. If you try and unblock a user you have not blocked, nothing will happen.
How do I find out more about someone?
Send a message to the number on your Rummble Mobile Settings page with the persons username and a questions mark. So, to find our more about a user called "Emily" you would send: "Emily?" and we will send you back more information about Emily. Alternatively you can visit the website and search for the user.
Are any words automatically blocked by the system?
We intermittently monitor the content of Rummble™ messages for abusive or offensive language. We also have a system which will remove or dilute those words that some users might find offensive. Any users repeatedly breaking the guidelines outlined within the Rummble™ Terms and Conditions will be permanently barred from use of the service. To read the Rummble™ Terms and Conditions please go to the main menu and select Terms and Conditions.
Can I send picture/MMS messages?
In the very near future we will be making it possible for you to send photos/MMS to other Rummble™ users. Until recently most of the network operators did not support cross-network picture-messaging; some still don't. There are also some issues regarding compatibility of phones. Soon these issues will be sorted out. We also don't want to provide our users with a service until it is easy to use & reliable. Once this happens we will launch a new version of Rummble™ which includes this functionality! So WATCH THIS SPACE! We expect to launch full picture messaging services before the end of 2007.
